The Laine Federal Education Work Experience Program gives qualified individuals the opportunity to gain hands-on work experience, develop essential job skills, and build a pathway to full-time, unsubsidized employment.
Who Can Participate
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Meet WIOA Adult or Dislocated Worker eligibility Must meet at least one of the following:
Less than 2 years with last employer or total work experience
Five or more jobs in the last 2 years
Skills need upgrading or no recent work experience
Completed classroom training but no work experience
Program Highlights
Structured, supervised work experience
Duration: 100+ hours, with possible extensions based on funding
Laine Federal Education serves as employer of record, covering payroll and insurance
Trainees work up to 40 hours per week; no overtime or paid leave
Bi-weekly pay at prevailing wage for comparable employees
Host companies provide necessary tools and equipment
Trainees do not displace current employees
