Work Experience Program

The Laine Federal Education Work Experience Program gives qualified individuals the opportunity to gain hands-on work experience, develop essential job skills, and build a pathway to full-time, unsubsidized employment.

Who Can Participate

  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Meet WIOA Adult or Dislocated Worker eligibility
    Must meet at least one of the following:
  • Less than 2 years with last employer or total work experience
  • Five or more jobs in the last 2 years
  • Skills need upgrading or no recent work experience
  • Completed classroom training but no work experience
Program Highlights
  • Structured, supervised work experience
  • Duration: 100+ hours, with possible extensions based on funding
  • Laine Federal Education serves as employer of record, covering payroll and insurance
  • Trainees work up to 40 hours per week; no overtime or paid leave
  • Bi-weekly pay at prevailing wage for comparable employees
  • Host companies provide necessary tools and equipment
  • Trainees do not displace current employees
